A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Upholsterer to join a friendly team in our Revivalist Interiors department.  We are an award-winning design and build specialists who offer our clients a bespoke upholstery and soft furnishings service.  This can include chairs, stools, fixed seating, cushions and much more all made to the customers specification and to the highest standard.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Upholster furniture - Side chairs, Armchair, Lounge chairs  
  • Cut foams for frames
  • Cut fabric / leathers to pattern templates
  • To competently fix upholstery to furniture frames using a handheld staple gun and other hand tools
  • Assemble Furniture if required
  • Get Furniture out of Stock for Projects – as job sheet if required
  • Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery
  • Assist in stock take - if required
  • Manual handling as some lifting is required.

Required skills and experience

  • High degree of upholstery skills with a minimum of 3 years’ experience is desirable
  • Sewing skills would be advantageous but are not necessary
  • Practical skills, manual dexterity, especially hand skills and co-ordination.
  • Be flexible in their approach to work with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Demonstrate reliability and ability to use own initiative and to work quickly to meet production deadlines.

This role is based at our Doncaster site where we offer free parking, excellent staff facilities, free tea & coffee etc, free fruit and other team benefits.   This is a full-time position working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday with regular overtime available. This role benefits from 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 day for each complete year of service to a maximum of 23 days, and also receives paid leave while the business is closed over the festive period.  We also offer a pension with 3% employer contribution and our Concorde Culture programme which provides many perks such as Feast Fridays, regular nights out, an annual day at the races, a fabulous Christmas party, membership to Westfield Health and much more.
