VAD are looking for someone to work with a newly appointed project manager to identify, develop and work with Digital Champions based within their care homes and assist them to co-design and develop digital activity to embed within their own organisation.

 

The role is to encourage the use of digital technology as a tool within the care home setting to improve access to health services and support improved health and wellbeing through greater community engagement in digital solutions. 

 

Act as a digital ambassador when working with care home staff and residents, always maintaining the highest levels of customer service and empathy. A key aspect of this role will be to gain an understanding of what is important to the community and translate this to effective working relationships between the statutory and community partners in Doncaster.

Doncaster Council and your local Jobcentre are working together to launch an Outreach Worker recruitment drive.

Life as an Outreach Worker

As an Outreach Worker, you will be delivering a range of fulfilling and innovative activities to adults of all ages who attend Doncaster SMILE day services. Be responsible for maintaining the core values of the service - Engaging, Empowering, Enhancing and maximising the life experiences of all service users.

Our master classes will provide you with a unique insight into the role, as well as guided support with the application process. They will be delivered over Microsoft Teams starting on Wednesday 19th January and will continue on Thursday 20th January. The sessions will begin at 10am and run until around 11:30am.
